Reflexology for Fertility

Can Reflexology improve your chances of conceiving?

The answer to this question is Yes.
I qualified as a reflexologist in 2005, this brought me into contact with women who were finding it difficult to conceive, and so in 2007 I completed the Suzanne Enzer Fertility & Maternity course. I then started to see an increase in the number of women who were becoming pregnant with the techniques I had learnt. By the beginning of 2009 I was hungry to learn more and discovered a new course (Reproflexology) being run by Barbara Scott a local reflexologist. I have since competed this course and have already seen the amazing benefits of it.

I work holistically by treating the whole person, emotionally, physically and spiritually as problems within any of these areas can have a negative effect on fertility. By working on the Endocrine and Reproductive systems in a precise way throughout the menstrual cycle, combined with lifestyle and diet changes will greatly increase your chances of becoming pregnant.

We all find ourselves having to deal with stress on a daily basis in our working and home lives, constantly juggling to keep the two running smoothly, add to this the stress involved in trying to conceive and there is little wonder that for some couples it takes much longer to conceive.
Stress plays havoc on the menstrual cycle and ovulation, often stopping ovulation altogether. Reflexology has an excellent reputation for helping to manage stress, re balance and regulate the menstrual cycle. Some lifestyle changes will also be required.
Stress also plays its part in male fertility by having a detrimental effect on sperm quantity and quality, again reflexology has an excellent reputation for helping to manage stress and promote healthy sperm production. Some lifestyle changes will also be required.

I am happy to treat women or couples at any stage of their fertility journey; in fact it is preferable to see both partners together at the initial consultation so that if there are any male fertility issues they can be addressed at the same time.
A detailed consultation including medical history, diet and lifestyle and up to date fertility treatment history will give me the information I need to formulate a treatment plan to help you to achieve a natural pregnancy or to work with you alongside conventional fertility treatments.

How long will a treatment session last?

You should allow one and a half hours for the initial appointment so that a detailed confidential consultation can be carried out, thereafter each treatment lasts for 45 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

This varies from person to person and I will suggest a treatment plan that is suited to your needs, usually six-eight weekly treatments are needed initially to alleviate or overcome a specific condition. For males twelve weekly treatments will be required to treat sperm quantity or quality issues as this is the length of time it takes for sperm to develop.
